Specialty Collection  •  Ledger Stone

Why did you name this Specialty Collection product Ledger Stone?

Jeffrey Court is introducing a number of products under the category Specialty Collection. These will be lines with a limited number of items, rather than the more extensive series as in our Chapters. The multiple sizes and shapes of this stone product create ledges when installed; Ledger Stone seemed fitting.

What are the key features of Ledger Stone?

  • 100% natural stone elements stacked and epoxy edge bonded together in ledger fashion without grout. The difference with our ledger stone is that it comes in 6"x24" engineered panels rather than individual loose pieces, and it is very well constructed with excellent panel sizing uniformity.
  • The panels are available in 4 distinct colors of slate, sandstone, and quartzite allowing distinct designs.
  • The stones are random in size, thickness and in placement. This allows for a seamless installation
  • A designed corner is constructed to allow for 90 degree edges - without the need to miter on the jobsite.

Where can this collection be used?

Ledger Stone can be used on interior and exterior walls, both residential and commercial. It is a natural product made with real stone, thus preserving the aesthetic characteristics especially in color and texture variation associated with natural stone.

Ledger Stone can be used on water features, fireplace walls, BBQ's, landscaping walls, commercial feature walls, and other interior-exterior facades where striking dimensional variation is sought.

Are there any special design or installation tips for Ledger Stone?

Jeffrey Court's Ledger Stone Panels are 6"x 24" allowing them to install in a fraction of the time, in comparison to single piece natural stone products used to produce the same look. The panels can be easily cut using a standard wet saw, and with the corner pieces available can easily wrap outside 90-degree corners.

By using the panels "as is" or by cutting the panels down length wise, they can even wrap pillars to create a dramatic look.

Ledger Stone is a natural stone product; please follow masonry industry installation standards. Typical installation is done using quality elastic style mortar over a sufficiently strong substrate, typically masonry construction. This would also be the case around a fireplace façade - masonry substrate. On standard height interior walls, usually a strong plywood substrate is sufficient. Again, consult with professional installers and follow standard industry installation specifications.
