Why did you name this Specialty Collection Medallions?

Rosoni medallions have been used for centuries on stone floors to present a décor in the center of the floor. Some of these medallions would show the family coat of arms. The name Medallions is a shortened version of those European floors. The use of Medallions offers an exquisite design option.

What are the key features of Medallions?

• These elegant and affordable natural stone panels coordinate beautifully with virtually all travertine colors.
• When installed, these panels become the focal point of a dramatic entrance or floor.
• The Medallions selection comes in 18"x18", 24"x24", and 36"x36" panels. The stones in the panels are also complemented by various listellos from our chapter sections. The listellos can be used around the perimeter to enlarge the pattern.

Where can this collection be used?

Medallions can be used virtually anywhere in residences and commercial areas. The stone floor components could also be used on large walls. Residences including an entrance foyer, kitchens, and patios are excellent choices. Commercial applications recreating the theme applications of ancient stone floors are a striking feature.

Are there any special design or installation tips for Medallions?

Medallions will look spectacular installed in larger floor areas. Normal stone masonry installation techniques by professional installers provide the best results.

We recommend that you seal all natural stone with a high quality penetrating sealer prior to grouting and after grouting to prevent staining. Also, there are stone enhancers from several manufacturers that “enhance" stone and give more dramatic results. An ongoing maintenance program is essential for all stone installations.
