Jkath Design Build + Reinvent was founded by Jesse in 2010. Jesse has been in the business of building since 2000. After working several years in corporate America and earning an MBA degree, Jesse pursued his first love of building. Utilizing his business acumen, artistic vision and unique craftsmanship, Jesse applied his talents on a larger scale when he founded his company.
Fast forward 4 years and along came Katie. She previously owned a successful wine bar in Minneapolis for nearly a decade and has always been passionate about independently owned businesses. Katie was immediately drawn to the design potential and the ability to utilize her creative talents and work direct with clients.
After several late nights of collaborating on new client projects, the newly husband and wife team decided to jump in with both feet.
Today, the clients work directly with both Jesse and Katie on all renovation goals. Their work won a ROMA award and landed several industry partnerships. Their clean aesthetic and overall attention to detail has earned them a long list of past and future clients.
We were so excited to take on this project this past summer. A local interior design firm reached out and referred us to this project and we knew it was just the fit and the type of work we love to do. While we do a lot of our own interior design work, we love collaborating with other professionals locally allowing our build team an opportunity to do what they do best.
This includes customization and all one of a kind pieces from our cabinet shop, including the master bath vanity and large dresser in the center of the bedroom that doubles as an entertainment center storing the TV. The clients had a vision to reinvent their third story attic, creating a spa like sanctuary of a master bedroom and en suite bathroom.
Not all renovation projects need to be time consuming and messy. As a matter of fact, cosmetic upgrades are attainable and can be easier on the budget while achieving similar goals as a full renovation. When our clients called stating they recently purchased a home in Minnesota and were moving from the East coast, they shared necessary updates were in order. But please .. nothing too exhaustive and easy on the budget.
Two of my favorite worlds collided. It was no accident, and without hesitation I jumped on board to help bring these two brands together for a fantastic Spring Collaboration. Now more than ever, as we reached record low temperatures in Minnesota, we are all dreaming of warmer and sunnier days ahead. This will likely require a Spring Break adventure for some, or simply dreams of warmer destinations will do.
