What makes Chapter 7 Crossroads a unique offering in the Jeffrey Court list of Chapters?
Built upon the wildly successful crushed glass mosaics known as “mood glass” from the previous version of Crossroads (summer 2010), this version looked into successes of many of our other product lines to see how we can integrate them. After more than three years of research and design we are excited to offer the newest version of Crossroads, which creates symmetry between natural stone and crushed glass.
What are the key features of Chapter 7 Crossroads?
Sleek grey & taupe tones from Chapter 3 Stream Stone; A Subtle tan from Chapter 11 Align; Beautiful rustic quartz & slate shades from Chapter 9 Pietra Opus; Elegant whites from Chapter 16 Park Place, and an all new silk black known as “Midnight Marble” served to build the platform by which Chapter 7 was created. Crossroads now boasts more than 13 crushed glass selections in two exciting patterns, a 1x2 offset brick, and modern dual stick pattern. What is most exciting about Crossroads is we have incorporated popular natural stone selections from our most sought-after natural stone collections creating limitless design possibilities. A beautiful compilation of seven natural stone colors is now masterfully combined with our crushed glass selections to create (28) beautiful mosaics, (7) 6x18 field tiles choices and (12) moulding elements.
How can I merchandise Chapter 7 Crossroads?
We kept it simple so that the product can “speak for itself.” Chapter 7 Crossroads is merchandised on two designer boards that show the breadth of the line. Nineteen new touch boards augment the eight surviving 1x2 “mood glass” mosaics, which show the total selection of mosaics in this line. Showroom installation and loose sample pieces can also be ordered at a discounted price.
Are there any special design or installation tips for Chapter 7 Crossroads?
Natural stones require a few extra installation procedures that are standard in the industry. We recommend that you lay out the tiles to create the desired blend of natural hues inherent in natural stone. It is recommended that a high-quality white thin set be used. A Grey thin set can “bleed through” and alter the color of many natural stones. It is imperative that a high-quality “natural look” penetrating sealer be used prior to grouting and followed with another application after grouting to prevent staining. An ongoing maintenance program is essential for all natural stone and crushed glass installations. When cutting crushed glass elements we recommend using a diamond blade and carefully applying crazy glue on the cutting line to reduce the instances of chipped, shattered, or rough edges.
