Jeffrey Court Blog

As we continue to celebrate our 30th Anniversary, it seemed fitting for Jeffrey Court to design a doghouse that honors this grand celebration and transports our favorite four-legged friends to a black-tie event in support of a great cause.

Partnering with The Animal Foundation in Las Vegas, NV, eight doghouses were created from around the country to help benefit the Foundation. Each doghouse was auctioned off to raise help funds aiding in rescuing misplaced animals in the Las Vegas Valley.

"Focusing around a black and white theme, we thought of the design as the perfect outfit every fashion icon needs for the grand ball event," said Susan Chance, Jeffrey Court Designer.

Beginning with what the design team describes as the "pantsuit," the walls of the home were created using the 3" x 10" Field tile in polished Nero Marquina from the Chapter 18 Rotunda Collection. Adding the dress shirt, the front of the home, in a custom JC logo using the 5/8" Hexagon Mosaic from Jeffrey Court’s Chapter 14 The Press collection in white and black.

To accessorize and complete the ensemble of the doghouse, a statement jewelry piece was added to the roof. Decorated with the unique Roulette Mosaic featuring black, white, and pink natural stone from the anniversary collection, Eternal by Jeffrey Court, it is sure to turn heads. It will have all the fur babies anxiously waiting for their ball invitation.

The doghouse was expertly created by Jeffrey Court partner, Maison Surface Studio in Upland, CA, and taken to the 2022 Coverings show, featured alongside the other doghouses supporting the Foundation.

The Animal Foundation, founded in 1978, is one of the highest volume single-site animal shelters in America. Its mission is to save all healthy and treatable animals in the Las Vegas Valley. Last year the shelter saved over 15,500 lost, homeless, and often mistreated animals.

We hope this lucky pup enjoys this custom home.
